Ages 6+

The first size of 'proper' bike with the introduction of gears, aluminium frames and front suspension on 20" wheels. Trek and Gary Fisher bikes have two pedal positions and an adjustable handlebar stem so the bike can grow with the child.

Ages 8+

With even more gears than the 20" wheeled bikes these 24" bikes are essentially the same as adults bikes but with slightly smaller wheels. Again they have two pedal positions and an adjustable handlebar stem so the bike can grow with the child.

Ages 11+

At this age it's time to progress to an adults bike with 26" wheels. However, these come in many frame sizes and very few companies make bikes with small enough frames to fit 11 year olds. Luckily our main brand Gary Fisher produce a whole range of 13" and 16" framed bikes that fit.
